Program Manager

Overview

The Program Manager (PM) provides leadership, support, and resources to ensure high-quality patient care in a safe and efficient manner. The PM prioritizes patient and staff needs while adhering to company SOPs and protocols, demonstrating effective problem-solving, process improvement, leadership, communication, and team-building skills.

Essential Functions/Duties

Leadership and Management

A. Base Leadership:

• Takes responsibility for the overall integrity of the team and team building, providing leadership and guidance.
• Responsible for the development of the annual base budget and Performa.
• Indirect reporting relationship with the base leadership team (Lead Pilot, Base Mechanic).

B. Crew Management:

• Direct reporting relationship with the base clinical crew (Flight Nurse, Flight Paramedic, and Medical Crew Lead) for base-specific operational and service delivery issues.
• Participates in the hiring of base operations personnel and provides guidance in annual performance evaluations for base staff.
• Provides guidance in crew performance management and enacts disciplinary actions for clinical personnel according to established policies.
• Ensures that all base crewmembers comply with company standards and CAMTS regulations.

Customer Service

• Responsible for customer mapping to understand goals and required deliverables.
• Engages in “customer listening” to gain insights into customer experience, needs, and wants.
• Manages customer relations, including in-region business development, communication, and contract management.
• Oversees base marketing and public relations needs.

Fiscal Management/Marketing

• Participates in the preparation and execution of the annual base operating, patient transport, and capital budgets with continuous variance analysis.
• Ensures appropriate and measurable financial plans.
• Actively participates in the local service area to market all end users and increase appropriate use of company transport resources.

Other

• Serves as a member of the management team, contributing effectively and efficiently to the organization's goals.
• Represents the Company at public and professional meetings within the base’s service area.
• Coordinates and manages local leadership team meetings.

Qualifications

Experience:

• Previous experience as a registered professional nurse, paramedic, or respiratory care practitioner is preferred.
• One (1) year of management or supervisory experience.
• Ability to design, execute, and measure an effective business and marketing plan.

Education:

• Bachelor's degree or equivalent knowledge and experience preferred.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
• Basic computer skills.

Requirements:

• Must live within 70 miles of the base location.
• Must be able to pass a drug test and background check in accordance with GMR policies.
