P-8A Field Service Rep - Defense – Canada (Mid-Level and Senior)

Boeing Global Services (BGS) is seeking Field Service Representatives to support the P-8A Poseidon at Canadian Forces Base Greenwood, Nova Scotia, Canada by helping troubleshoot aircraft and mission system problems.
This is a Long-Term Assignment to Canada after initial familiarization training and visa processing. Relocation/assignment benefits to the international location will be provided. Ability to meet international assignment health requirements required. If accompanied, family must also meet international assignment health requirements.
You are applying for a Field Operations position where our employees must be willing and able (potentially short notice) to travel to a variety of locations (domestic and/or international) to meet the needs of our customers.
Field Operations employees may be required to relocate to another Field Operations location based on customer needs and/or management requirements.
Specific contracts supported by Field Operations could require employees to perform a deployment to a US DOD contingency operation. Employees associated with these specific contracts must be able to pass military contractor health standards for deployment.
Position Responsibilities:
- Assisting with fault isolation, repair assistance and O-Level maintenance of P-8A aircraft systems, mission system equipment, airframe, and engines
- Must be capable of interpreting technical documents and possess the ability to respond to operational issues in addition to being knowledgeable in the maintenance of both aircraft and mission systems
- Conduct on-the-job and informal training for locally hired employees is also included in the position responsibilities
- Expected to be available during normal base working hours and during off-hours to address emergency / Aircraft of Ground (AOG) situations
Basic Qualifications (Required Skills/Experience):
- Mid-Level: Minimum 3 years of hands-on flight line maintenance experience, directly supporting the P-8 or 737NG
- A current/active United States Passport
- At the sole discretion of leadership, must be willing and able (on potentially short-notice) to deploy/travel to a variety of locations (domestic and international) and for a variety of deployment durations to meet customer needs and the statement of work. Unless compelling reasons exist, failure to deploy/travel will be considered as a resignation.
- At the sole discretion of leadership, must be willing and able to relocate to a variety of locations (domestic and international) to meet customer needs and the statement of work. Failure to relocate will be considered as a resignation.
Preferred Qualifications (Desired Skills/Experience):
- Senior level: Minimum 5 years of hands-on flight line maintenance experience, directly supporting the P-8 or 737NG
- Currently hold or have held an Airframe & Powerplant (A&P) license
- Prior experience as an FSR supporting an aircraft weapon system
- Hands-on aircraft experience with P-3 or P-8 aircraft operations or sustainment
- P-8 mission systems and operations expertise
- Understanding of Boeing aircraft maintenance technical systems, US Navy maintenance and parts manuals & engineering drawings, especially wiring diagrams and/or fiber optics
- Experience troubleshooting electrical and avionics problems/issues
- Quality Assurance experience in an aircraft maintenance or production environment
- Experience working with the US Navy or military customers
- Experience establishing a new operating base or site while working in austere conditions
- Ability to work independently without direct oversight

- Candidate must be able to obtain a work visa, depending on requirements of the country
- Candidate must be able to meet the cultural requirements of the country, as applicable
- Employment is contingent on the candidate’s ability to satisfy all labor and immigration formalities of the country
- Because the candidate selected will be expected to go on an international assignment, the offer will be contingent upon the candidate’s ability to obtain clearances from International Health Services and the receipt of a visa/work permit to the country in which he or she will be assigned. These contingencies also apply to any/all family members who may be relocating with the candidate.

Relocation benefits will be provided only to the international assignment.

Summary pay range:
Mid-Level: $85,850 - $116,150
Senior Level: $104,550 - $141,450
