Maintenance, Repair and Overhaul (MRO) Avionics/Mission Technicians
Overview
Boeing Global Services (BGS) Jacksonville is seeking Maintenance, Repair and Overhaul (MRO) Avionics/Mission Technicians to join our MRO Jacksonville team, specializing in the maintenance, repair, and troubleshooting of avionics systems on commercial derivative aircraft.
The ideal candidate will have a strong background in avionics systems, excellent problem-solving skills, and the ability to work effectively in a team environment. The candidates chosen will be responsible for adherence to established processes, accurate and timely work recording, and contractual/regulatory compliance. Successful applicants will be based in Jacksonville, Florida.
This position will provide critical support to MRO Jacksonville, FL, including improving production efficiency, safety, and optimizing product quality.
Responsibilities
- Perform installation, maintenance, and repair of avionics, including missions, communication, navigation, and flight control systems
- Assemble, disassemble, and/or modify systems by changing, removing, replacing, or upgrading aerospace vehicle components
- Configure aerospace vehicles and bench test equipment
- Solve problems with sophisticated avionics and electrical systems
- Conduct routine inspections and tests on avionics systems to ensure compliance with safety and regulatory standards
- Perform validation/verification testing of systems and components
- Perform maintenance on aerial refueling systems
- Collaborate with engineering and maintenance teams to develop solutions for complex avionics problems
- Document procedures and established processes for contractual and regulatory compliance
- Inspect components and verify repairs for flight worthiness requirements
- Maintain accurate records of maintenance activities and repairs performed
- Stay current with industry standards, regulations, and technological advancements in avionics systems
- Provide technical support and guidance to other team members
- Work under general direction and ensure adherence to safety protocols in all work activities
- Level C (Experienced Level; can perform the above tasks with no supervision and can assist others)
Requirements/Qualifications
Basic Qualifications (Required Skills/Experience)
- 3+ years of experience working with aircraft avionics systems, including navigation, communication, and flight control systems
- 3+ years of experience working in aircraft maintenance software systems for planning, scheduling, and executing work assignments
- Experience in working with schematics, specifications, assembly drawings, and standard operating procedures
- Proficient in reading and interpreting technical manuals, schematics, and blueprints
Preferred Qualifications (Desired Skills/Experience)
- 3+ years of experience in avionics maintenance on commercial, or commercial derivative aircraft
- 3+ years of experience performing avionics maintenance on 737 aircraft
- FAA Airframe and Powerplant (A&P) certification preferred
- Strong knowledge of avionics systems, including GPS, radar, autopilot, and communication systems
- Proficient in using diagnostic tools and equipment for troubleshooting avionics systems
- Excellent attention to detail and strong analytical skills
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
- Strong communication skills, both verbal and written
Shift
This position is for 1st and/or 2nd shift. Candidate must be able to work any shift assigned.

Pay is based upon candidate experience and qualifications, as well as market and business considerations. Summary pay range: $68,000 - $92,000.

Export Control Requirement
This position must meet U.S. export control compliance requirements. A “U.S. Person” as defined by 22 C.F.R. §120.62 is required.
Security Clearance
This position requires the ability to obtain a U.S. Security Clearance for which the U.S. Government requires U.S. Citizenship. An interim and/or final U.S. Secret Clearance Post-Start is required.
