Aircraft Structures Mechanic - Contract (Pay Preview Inside)

VP Aviation is hiring Structures Mechanics for heavy maintenance and C-checks on Boeing and Airbus aircraft in Jacksonville, Florida. This is an open-ended contract offering long-term work for experienced aircraft structures mechanics. If you like the work and the customer likes your performance, you can stay as long as you want.

Pay ranges from $1,200.00 to $1,400.00 per week at 40 hours not including overtime. For exact pay rates including per diem (if qualified) please apply and a VP Aviation recruiter will contact you directly.

Responsibilities

• Perform structural repairs during heavy maintenance and C-checks on Boeing and Airbus aircraft.

• Fabricate, repair, replace, and rebuild aircraft structural components.

• Read and interpret maintenance manuals, blueprints, schematics, engineering drawings, and technical data.

• Complete all assigned work in accordance with approved maintenance procedures.

• Accurately document all maintenance performed.

• Use hand tools, gauges, measuring equipment, and specialty tools required for aircraft structural repairs.

• Maintain a clean and safe work environment.

• Work effectively with fellow technicians to meet production schedules.

Requirements

• Minimum 3 years of commercial aircraft structures experience.

• Previous heavy maintenance or C-check experience preferred.

• Thorough knowledge of aircraft structural repair methods and maintenance documentation.

• Ability to fabricate, repair, replace, and rebuild aircraft structures.

• Must have your own tools and reliable transportation.

• Must be able to pass a pre-employment drug screen and background check.

• Must be able to work any shift as assigned.

Schedule

Candidates must be available to work any shift. Shift assignments may change based on operational needs.

First Shift: 7:00 AM – 3:30 PM

Second Shift: 3:00 PM – 11:30 PM
