Overview

Boeing Global Services (BGS) is seeking an Experienced V-22 Aircraft Maintenance and Modification Technician to support V-22 Maintenance & Modifications at Naval Air Station (NAS) North Island, California. The ideal candidate must be knowledgeable in aspects of V-22 aircraft maintenance, modification, and repair, including skills and experience in either Electrical and Avionics or Airframes system subject areas. They should also possess knowledge of general aircraft maintenance and environmental processes (FOD control, tool control, health & safety).

This Field Operations position requires employees to be willing and able to travel to various locations (domestic and/or international) on potentially short notice to meet customer needs. Additionally, employees may need to relocate based on customer and/or management requirements. Some contracts may involve deployment to U.S. DOD contingency operations, and employees must meet military contractor health standards for deployment.

Responsibilities

  • Independently assemble, disassemble, and fix numerous assemblies by changing, removing, and replacing aerospace components using general aerospace maintenance practices and aerospace product specifications to correct failures.
  • Remove and replace components for repair, replacement, or testing to support product serviceability.
  • Resolve and correct routine problems during operation, maintenance, and overhaul of deliverable products.
  • Coordinate assembly, disassembly, or overhaul functions to ensure adequacy, accuracy, and thoroughness.
  • Independently perform routine and complex functional/diagnostic tests and solve problems in aerospace/missile systems.
  • Perform validation/verification testing of systems and components to ensure serviceability.
  • Solve customer problems using established fault isolation procedures to isolate routine mechanical or electrical faults.
  • Document repair, test results, modifications, and inspection results using specific, detailed instructions to ensure compliance.
  • Properly identify discrepancies and assist with their reconciliation.
  • Visually inspect components before installation to verify cleanliness and serviceability.
  • Identify and document discrepancies found during inspection.
  • Independently perform modifications to satisfy deliverable products.
  • Ensure adequacy, accuracy, and thoroughness of product modifications.

Requirements/Qualifications

Basic Qualifications (Required Skills/Experience):

  • Experience with V-22 Maintenance/Modification.
  • Ability to travel 30% of the time.
  • Willingness and ability to travel to various locations (domestic, Military Bases CONUS plus Hawaii) on short notice.
  • Willingness to relocate based on customer needs and requirements.

Preferred Qualifications (Desired Skills/Experience):

  • FAA Airframe and Powerplant License preferred.
  • Quality Assurance experience preferred.
  • Extensive Depot-level modification experience preferred.

Summary pay range: $73,100 - $98,900

Relocation: Relocation assistance is not a negotiable benefit for this position.

Export Control Requirement: This position must meet U.S. export control compliance requirements. A “U.S. Person” as defined by 22 C.F.R. §120.62 is required.

Security Clearance: This position requires an active U.S. Secret Security Clearance (U.S. Citizenship Required).
