This center will offer advanced MRO capabilities and support the entire Bombardier aircraft portfolio. This position is based in Abu Dhabi. The selected candidate must relocate and establish residence in Abu Dhabi. Please apply only if you are prepared to relocate and reside in Abu Dhabi.
This position is open to candidates currently based in the UAE; relocation support is not available. UAE Nationals are strongly encouraged to apply.
What are your contributions to the team?
- Troubleshoots, repairs, inspects, and performs maintenance on customer aircraft.
- Performs and documents all work performed per appropriate manuals and regulations as required.
- Be able to train, coach, and support other employees.
- Perform complete engine runs as required.
- Perform complex repairs on aircraft systems.
- Supervise Mechanics when carrying out maintenance tasks, ensuring relevant tasks or inspections have been carried out to the required standard.
- Release maintenance tasks performed by him-/herself or under his/her supervision, for which he/she is trained and authorized.
- Sign off base maintenance tasks that are performed by him-/herself or under his/her supervision, in support of Certifying Staff Category C.
- Perform maintenance at off-site locations.
- Assist in providing time estimates.
How to thrive in this role?
- You hold a GCAA and/or EASA Part 66 Aircraft Technician License: B1 and/or C.
- You are type-rated on relevant Bombardier Business Aircraft Type including; Challenger and Global series.
- You have operated as an experienced licensed aircraft technician, taking ownership of complex maintenance assignments, signing off aircraft to ensure airworthiness, and mentoring junior colleagues, with a minimum of 5+ years of experience of Bombardier Aircraft type i.e. Global and/or Challenger series.
- You have up-to-date basic knowledge requirements of Appendix I to Part-66.
- You have basic knowledge of Part-M, Part-145, and any other relevant regulations.
- You have knowledge of, and practice human factors, human performance, and limitations.
- You have knowledge of EWIS and CDCCL when relevant.
- You have the ability to interpret and work with engineering drawings.
- You can effectively communicate in both written and verbal form on individual tasks and/or aircraft status.
- You are highly proficient in using standard tools, special tools, and operating ground support equipment.
- You have the ability to work in accordance with the maintenance data and to notify the function responsible for defects or mistakes requiring rectification to re-establish required maintenance standards.
- Able to work in shifts and occasional night shifts (if required).
- Able to travel for business needs on short notice.
