About the Position

Gulfstream engineering interns in Innovation, Engineering and Flight are an integral part of the engineering staff, contributing to projects that are both technically challenging and educationally stimulating.

We are looking for all levels of educational experience—from undergraduates to master's and PhD students—who are seeking professional experience in a state-of-the-art engineering environment. If you are looking to gain professional experience and are passionate about aviation and engineering, you will be intrigued by the opportunities we give interns across almost 40 different departments that support Innovation, Engineering, and Flight.

Education and Other Requirements

  • Must be currently enrolled in an accredited university pursuing a bachelor’s degree or higher in one of the following disciplines:
    • Aerospace Engineering
    • Mechanical Engineering
    • Systems Engineering
  • Must be available to work on-site in Savannah, GA during the Summer 2027 semester, beginning in May 2027.
  • Cumulative GPA of 3.0 (without rounding); must be listed on resume.

Preferred Interests/Skills

  • Interest in and working knowledge of aircraft propulsion systems including turbine engine theory and operations and nacelle/thrust reverser systems
  • Basic understanding of aircraft systems engineering
  • Critical thinking, understanding of probabilities, technical writing, cause and effect analysis.

Preferred Tools/Skills

  • CATIA

Preferred Coding Languages

  • Matlab
  • Python
  • VBA

  • Minimum duration: 10–12 weeks (summer); 10–16 weeks (spring and fall).
  • Must work onsite; this is not a remote position.
  • Must have reliable transportation.

This job requires one to be able to read, write, speak, and understand the English language.
