Job Overview and Responsibilities
Responsible for overall aircraft flow and paperwork accountability including complete event preplanning, aircraft induction and release process, daily flow and accountability ensuring aircraft is on track, and post check reporting. Liaise with multiple departments both internal and external, including vendor support companies to resolve issues and maintain aircraft flow. Resolve head count requirements to maintain required production levels. Report and analyze aircraft material costs.
- Responsible for developing, implementing and managing overall aircraft check flow:
- Develop long range plans for upcoming maintenance events
- Daily management and workflow of aircraft visits
- Building task assignments, priorities, and flow for applicable shifts
- Paperwork accountability and regulatory compliance
- Status reporting and issue resolution
- Forecasting and planning headcount for production targets
- Pre-induction preparation and post check analysis:
- Communications with multiple support departments to ensure required resources are available to maintain production targets
- Complete preplanning and detailed flow of production in logical sequence and logical sequence
- Establish check critical milestones and priorities
- Cross event reporting and analysis
- Manage support shop resources and workload:
- Compile, analyze, and report on check performance
- Maintain regulatory compliance of maintenance documents
What’s needed to succeed (Minimum Qualifications):
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Aviation, management or operations management
- FAA Airframe & Powerplant License
- At least 3 years aviation experience
- Proficient in MS Office applications
- Strong data analytics skills
- Strong interpersonal, verbal, and written communication skills, with ability to effectively interact at all levels (including executive) and team with all internal and external business partners
- Ability to handle simultaneous projects and adapt to a fast-paced, changing environment
- Must be legally authorized to work in the United States for any employer without sponsorship
- Successful completion of interview required to meet job qualification
- Reliable, punctual attendance is an essential function of the position
What will help you propel from the pack (Preferred Qualifications):
- Bachelor's degree or 4 years of relevant work experience
- 5+ years aircraft maintenance and production control experience
- Heavy aircraft maintenance planning experience
- Working Knowledge of SCEPTRE
- Understanding of industry applicable process improvement and LSS (Lean Six Sigma)
