- Managing systems and actioning any alerts with the intent of taking maintenance program credit once the Integrated Aircraft Health Management (IAHM) program is implemented.
Key responsibilities include:
- Responsible for day-to-day identification, management, and execution of aircraft readiness status through continuous evaluation of condition monitoring and predictive maintenance alerting, system operational trends, and repair needs.
- Manage systems and parameters approved for IAHM to make aircraft airworthiness determinations that provide economic efficiencies while maintaining or enhancing operational safety.
- Assist Station Maintenance Technicians (either direct or remote) by creating in-depth, accurate, and complete troubleshooting work orders, detailing repair plans by securing resources, including maintenance manuals, parts, tooling, ground time, and labor hours required.
- Liaison with Tactical Fleet Managers, Line Maintenance Stations, Maintenance Control, Line Planning, and leadership teams on daily operational calls to ensure a solid recovery plan is in place for high priority, critical aircraft system operation prior to incurring a service interruption.
- Monitor the operational lifecycle of AHM log pages and communicate findings to AHM team, Predictive Maintenance Engineers, and Reliability Engineers on top causes of mechanical delays and cancellations for each fleet type to identify new predictive model opportunities.
- Track corrective actions performed by line maintenance on AHM work orders for final fix or recommend further troubleshooting requirements.
- Routinely audit AHM work orders to identify when alerting criteria or work order adjustments should be made to improve operational reliability of United’s fleets.
