Description
What You Will Be Doing:
This position will be part of the Aircraft Maintenance Team supporting U-2 Avionics Technical Refresh (ATR) and Programmed Depot Maintenance (PDM) Operations at Beale Air Force Base, California. Responsibilities include:
- Inspecting aircraft for functional operation and conformance to government and company standards and specifications.
- Inspecting the installation and operation of electrical, avionics, electronic, hydraulic, pneumatic, fuel, oil, and emergency systems and other aircraft parts and equipment.
- Ensuring aircraft are in good mechanical condition and safe for flight.
- Planning and conducting Process Compliance Surveillance Program (PCSP) audits.
- Conducting incident and/or mishap investigation audits.
- Preparing quality documentation and reports by collecting, analyzing, and summarizing information and trends, including failed processes, recalls, corrective actions, and validations.
- Ensuring aircraft records are updated and maintained.
- Drafting and submitting engineering disposition requests.
- Updating the quality assurance supervisor with the quality status of aircraft.

Further Information About This Opportunity:
MUST BE A U.S. CITIZEN – This position is located at a facility that requires special access. The selected candidate must possess an active Interim clearance to start with the ability to obtain a Final Secret Clearance. Considered candidates must be capable of working first (1st), second (2nd), or third (3rd) shifts and weekends dependent on customer needs.
Physical Requirements:
This position may include certain required health screenings and immunizations. Position may also require extended work hours. Responsibilities include:
- Regularly required to lift up to 50 pounds and perform repetitive movements.
- Working overhead, using hands to grasp, handle, and/or feel, and reach with hands and arms.
- Frequently required to stand, walk, stoop, kneel, squat, crawl, and twist.
- Confined Space Entry.
Basic Qualifications:
The following Basic Qualifications are skills that a candidate must possess to be considered for this position:
- Minimum 1 year of quality assurance experience in aircraft.
- Minimum 3 years of aircraft operations experience.
- Experience in reading and comprehending blueprints, engineering specifications and drawings, technical data, and planning documents.
- Experience in using various inspection measurement tools.
Desired Skills:
The following Desired Skills are not required but would set a candidate apart from other candidates:
- Airframe & Powerplant License.
- Previous U-2 experience.
- Experience with AS9100 Quality systems.
- Experience with DCMA 8210 Contractor’s Flight and Ground Operations.
- Knowledgeable of Safety, Tool Control, Foreign Object Damage (FOD) Prevention, Supply, Hazardous Material (HAZMAT), Quality, and Security programs.
- Aircraft PDM experience.
- Experience in aircraft quality processes and procedures.
- Experience in aircraft crew escape systems (i.e. canopy and ejection seat).
Pay Information:
Full-Time Salary Range: $37.55 - $69.71

Represented full-time employees accrue 6.67 hours of Vacation per month; accrue up to 52 hours of sick leave annually; receive at least 96 hours for holidays. PTO, Vacation, sick leave, and holiday hours are prorated based on start date during the calendar year.
