Program Manager

Overview

The Program Manager (PM) provides leadership, support, and the resources necessary to deliver customer-oriented high-quality patient care in a safe and efficient manner. In every situation, the PM acts in the best interest of the patient and staff by supporting company SOPs and protocols. The PM demonstrates effective problem-solving, process improvement, leadership, communication, and team-building skills.

Essential Functions/Duties

Leadership and Management

A. Base Leadership:

• Takes responsibility for the overall integrity of the team and provides leadership and guidance.
• Responsible for the development of the annual base budget and Performa.
• Maintains an indirect reporting relationship with the base leadership team (Lead Pilot, Base Mechanic).

B. Crew Management:

• Directly manages the base clinical crew (Flight Nurse, Flight Paramedic, Medical Crew Lead) for operational and service delivery issues.
• Participates in hiring base operations personnel and provides guidance in annual performance evaluations.
• Guides crew performance management and enacts disciplinary actions according to established policies.
• Ensures all base crewmembers comply with company standards and CAMTS regulations.

Customer Service

• Responsible for customer mapping to understand customer goals and required deliverables.
• Engages in “customer listening” to gain insights into the customer experience, needs, and wants.
• Manages customer relations, including in-region business development, communication, and contract management.
• Oversees base marketing and public relations needs.

Fiscal Management/Marketing

• Participates in preparing and executing the annual base operating, patient transport, and capital budgets.
• Conducts continuous variance analysis and corrections.
• Responsible for creating appropriate and measurable financial plans.
• Actively markets all end-users in the local service area to increase the use of company transport resources.

Other

• Serves as a member of the management team, contributing effectively and efficiently to organizational goals.
• Represents the company at public and professional meetings within the base’s service area.
• Coordinates and manages local leadership team meetings.

Qualifications

Experience:

• Previous experience as a registered professional nurse, paramedic, or respiratory care practitioner is preferred.
• One (1) year of management or supervisory experience.
• Ability to design, execute, and measure an effective business and marketing plan.

Education:

• Bachelor's degree or equivalent knowledge and experience preferred.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
• Basic computer skills.

Requirements:

• Must live within 70 miles of the base location.
• Must pass a drug test and background check in accordance with GMR policies.
