Production Test Pilot in GAC Dallas

Unique Skills

Previous Gulfstream experience with GVII and/or G280 type ratings, CFI and Functional Test Pilot experience preferred. Must be able to maintain an FAA Class 1 Medical Certificate.

Education and Experience Requirements

Bachelor's Degree in Engineering or a technically related field required, or an equivalent combination of education and experience sufficient to perform the essential functions of the job. 7 years of flight experience is required. Previous experience with Gulfstream aircraft is desired but not required.

Job Description

Principal Duties and Responsibilities

Essential Functions:

  • Conduct initial flight tests of Gulfstream aircraft and perform acceptance testing of production aircraft to functionally evaluate the airframe, engines, and avionics to assure compliance with FAA Certificate of Airworthiness standards. Debrief engineering and manufacturing personnel on ground and flight discrepancies and provide technical assistance to resolve discrepancies and problems.
  • Represent Gulfstream on FAA Certificate of Airworthiness flight checks.
  • Conduct test flights of customer aircraft following initial outfitting, modifications to the next certification level, and post-Service Center maintenance.
  • Conduct evaluation flights of used aircraft being sold and/or traded in to ascertain airworthiness and compliance with current functional standards for production aircraft.
  • Conduct customer pilot training flights as required to support customer needs.
  • Provide ground and flight instruction to company and customer flight crews on operations of new aircraft products, newly installed systems, and new or upgraded appliances.

Additional Functions

  • Support Sales and Marketing by conducting technology briefs in the ITF and local sales demonstration flights.

Perform other duties as assigned.

Other Requirements

  • FAA Airline Transport Pilot license (ATP/ATPL) or the ability to attain ATP/ATPL.
  • Previous experience in flight testing or as a maintenance test pilot.
  • FAA Flight Instructor certificate (desired).

This job requires the ability to read, write, speak, and understand the English language.
