This role is for an experienced Mission Planning Environment (MPE) Administrator providing Joint Strike Fighter (JSF) Autonomic Logistics Information System (ALIS) support at JASDF Nyutabaru Air Base, Japan.


The MPE Administrator directly supports JSF operations by assuring the integrity and availability of the applications and servers on the system. The successful candidate will be the main interface between the MPE system and the Pilots and maintainers supporting the F-35.


This is an operational support role to an active fighter unit, so the selected candidate may be required to work at deployed CONUS/OCONUS locations, support rotating shifts, and work over 40 hours per week—which may include weekends—as dictated by mission requirements.


The successful candidate will be required to train both JASDF administrators as well as help maintain multiple JASDF ALIS servers. In this role you will be required to cross-train across multiple functions (Network, Systems, and Security Administration).

Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:

Interacting daily with users and ALIS / LM leadership

Perform COMSEC duties and adhere to requirements

Support pilots in Mission Planning/Debriefing and identify/resolve system shortfalls

Joint Mission Planning System (JMPS) installation and data updates

Support, administer, and monitor associated hardware/software and pilot accounts

Backups, restores, and disaster recovery of systems/databases/network equipment

Reviewing processes/procedures, collect system operational data for analysis

Basic Qualifications

Candidates must have a DOD Secret Clearance with and investigation within the last 6 years.

Must have and retain DoD IAT Level II certification (Security+, CySA+, or CCNA)

IT experience of any combination in system/database/network administration

Must be willing and able to deploy in support of the JASDF

Experience with three of the following: Powershell; Virtual Machines; DNS/DHCP;SQLPlus; RMAN; data import/export; Layers 2&3; firewalls; intrusion detection

Desired Skills

Greater than 2 years F-35 Mission Planning Environment Administration Experience

Familiarity with the JASDF customer, to Include Policies, Procedures, and Operations

Excellent Written and Oral communication skill

Precision Guided Munitions Planning Software (PGMPS) experience

Mission Planning Systems Support Representatives (SSR) experience

Personal Computer Debrief Software (PCDS) experience

Disaster recovery: backups and restores of physical servers, virtual machines and network equipment

Maintaining/upgrading system hardware and startup/shutdown of rack components

Applying updates, anti-virus/anti-spyware updates, and patch updates

Familiarity with Lockheed Martin products and processes, to include the JSF ALIS hardware and software

Pay Information

Full-Time Salary Range: $85300.00 - $158300.00

Represented full time employees accrue 6.67 hours of Vacation per month; accrue up to 52 hours of sick leave annually; receive at least 96 hours for holidays. PTO, Vacation, sick leave, and holiday hours are prorated based on start date during the calendar year.
