Working in our Augusta, GA Business Aviation MRO, this Lead Mechanic will serve on a team dedicated to Dassault Falcon maintenance. This Team Lead will be responsible for covering the duties of the Crew Chief in their absence, as well as mentoring, scheduling, and developing a team of technicians and mechanics.

What You’ll Do:

  • Lead and supervise a crew to ensure high performance and adherence to safety standards.
  • Monitor hours charged to jobs to assure cost control and approve technicians’ time on tasks.
  • Appraise crew members and recommend salary and status changes, recognizing achievements and administering discipline when necessary.
  • Pre-plan work scope and action plans for incoming jobs, including ordering parts as needed.
  • Deploy resources and assign tasks to crew members efficiently.
  • Use hand tools, precision measuring instruments, gauges, and engine calibration test equipment.
  • Implement all paperwork related to job orders and conduct a final review of work order documentation before submitting for quality assurance.
  • Monitor progressive sign-offs to ensure all tasks are completed satisfactorily.
  • Serve as a technical expert on assigned fleet types, performing hands-on maintenance as necessary.

Position Requirements:

  • Minimum 5 years of experience as a licensed A&P Mechanic
  • Minimum 2 years of experience performing heavy maintenance on Dassault Falcon aircraft
  • Demonstrated leadership and/or supervisory experience
  • Must be authorized to work in the United States without sponsorship
  • High School Diploma or GED equivalent

Preferred Characteristics:

  • 10+ years of experience as an A&P Mechanic
  • Experience performing heavy maintenance on Falcon 900, 2000, and 7X aircraft
  • Proven ability to interact with and resolve customer concerns
  • Experience in heavy and light maintenance, service bulletins, and troubleshooting
  • Strong team-building, coaching, and problem-solving skills
