Working in our Augusta, GA Business Aviation MRO, this Lead Mechanic will serve on a team dedicated to Dassault Falcon maintenance. This Team Lead will be responsible for covering the duties of the Crew Chief in their absence, as well as mentoring, scheduling, and developing a team of technicians and mechanics.
What You’ll Do:
- Lead and supervise a crew to ensure high performance and adherence to safety standards.
- Monitor hours charged to jobs to assure cost control and approve technicians’ time on tasks.
- Appraise crew members and recommend salary and status changes, recognizing achievements and administering discipline when necessary.
- Pre-plan work scope and action plans for incoming jobs, including ordering parts as needed.
- Deploy resources and assign tasks to crew members efficiently.
- Use hand tools, precision measuring instruments, gauges, and engine calibration test equipment.
- Implement all paperwork related to job orders and conduct a final review of work order documentation before submitting for quality assurance.
- Monitor progressive sign-offs to ensure all tasks are completed satisfactorily.
- Serve as a technical expert on assigned fleet types, performing hands-on maintenance as necessary.
Position Requirements:
- Minimum 5 years of experience as a licensed A&P Mechanic
- Minimum 2 years of experience performing heavy maintenance on Dassault Falcon aircraft
- Demonstrated leadership and/or supervisory experience
- Must be authorized to work in the United States without sponsorship
- High School Diploma or GED equivalent
Preferred Characteristics:
- 10+ years of experience as an A&P Mechanic
- Experience performing heavy maintenance on Falcon 900, 2000, and 7X aircraft
- Proven ability to interact with and resolve customer concerns
- Experience in heavy and light maintenance, service bulletins, and troubleshooting
- Strong team-building, coaching, and problem-solving skills
