Overview
Boeing Test & Evaluation (BT&E) has an exciting opportunity for an Experienced Quality Production Specialist to join the B-52 CERP Quality Team located in San Antonio, TX.
Responsibilities
- Reviews and validates product non-conformances and disposition type, quality procedures, and engineering requirements.
- Performs analysis to identify and evaluate the quality of products, operations, and processes to Quality Management System requirements, applicable company procedures, contract requirements, or government regulations.
- Applies knowledge of aerospace design, systems, and integration to perform failure and forensic analysis of aerospace components and systems.
- Trains and mentors fellow employees in the Quality Management System.
- Performs root cause analysis on nonconformance to identify the cause and prevent reoccurrence.
- Independently develops, modifies, and documents actions to assure problem resolution or to implement corrective/preventive action and documents resolution.
- Obtains corrective action on nonconforming plans and hardware/processes.
- Negotiates concurrence, obtains commitments for taking preventive and corrective action, prioritizes quality activities, and ensures problem resolution.
- Reviews and validates corrective action plans and identifies effectivity to ensure completion.
- Reviews and approves Quality planning changes or disposition of nonconformance hardware products/processes.
- Reviews and implements corrective action on audit results.
- Interprets industry standards and provides recommendations for implementation.
- Creates analytical reports and coordinates with responsible parties for internal/external distribution.
- Works under general direction.
Requirements/Qualifications
Basic Qualifications (Required Skills/Experience)
- Ability to obtain a U.S. Security Clearance for which the U.S. Government requires U.S. Citizenship.
- 3+ years of experience in an aerospace, fabrication, or manufacturing environment.
- 3+ years of experience with Quality Assurance.
- 3+ years of experience reading and interpreting engineering drawings and specifications.
Preferred Qualifications (Desired Skills/Experience)
- Have or have held an active U.S. Security Clearance in the past 24 months.
- Currently hold an FAA Airframe & Powerplant (A&P) license or are currently enrolled in an A&P certificate program.
- Experience in the application of AS9100/9110.
- 3+ years of experience using Government Online Data (GOLD).
