Description
Responsibilities
- Develop, review, and issue detailed maintenance work packages, task cards, and job routings for scheduled inspections (A/B/C/D checks), unscheduled repairs, and modifications.
- Forecast and plan long-range maintenance requirements based on aircraft utilization, maintenance program intervals, and regulatory directives (ADs/SBs).
- Coordinate with Engineering, Materials/Supply Chain, Maintenance, and Quality Assurance to ensure parts, tooling, and technical data are available prior to work execution.
- Maintain and update maintenance tracking systems to reflect current aircraft status and upcoming requirements.
- Analyze maintenance program data to identify trends, optimize task packaging, and support planned maintenance and modification requirements.
- Ensure compliance with FAA regulations, Airworthiness Directives, Service Bulletins, and company/customer maintenance directives.
- Participate in maintenance program reviews, reliability meetings, and continuous improvement initiatives.
- Prepare and present maintenance forecasts, capacity plans, and status reports to leadership.
- Support audits and regulatory inspections by ensuring accurate and complete maintenance records/documentation.
Qualifications You Must Have
- High school diploma or equivalent
- 0-2 years of experience in a related field.
- Aviation maintenance planning or similar experience.
- Awareness of FAA regulations and aircraft maintenance programs.
- Awareness of maintenance tracking and MRO software systems.
- Ability to read and interpret maintenance manuals and other technical documentation.
- Excellent organizational, communication, and cross-functional coordination skills.
Qualifications We Prefer
- Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Supply Chain, Logistics, or related field of study.
- Experience with Boeing 747-8 maintenance activities.
- A&P (Airframe & Powerplant) certification.
- Prior experience in a Part 145 repair station or airline maintenance planning environment.
Essential Functions
- Must be able to lift up to 20 lbs regularly.
- Ability to work on a computer for extended periods.
- Requires standing for a significant portion of the work shift.
- Ability to work in a noisy manufacturing environment.
- Occasional travel may be required.
- Must be able to work in an office or hybrid environment.
