Job Overview and Responsibilities
Monitor compliance of United's off-wing maintenance activities with approved policies and procedures, and governmental regulatory requirements. Support QA team by providing direction on policy or regulatory requirements. Ensure administrative tasks are completed and become a Subject-Matter Expert in the technologies used within the department (SCEPTRE, QAAS, etc.).
Supervise Technical Operations Quality Assurance auditors' activities including development, implementation and execution of all scheduled, unscheduled audit activities, investigations and special projects. Direct team to ensure all planned audits are accomplished to minimize operational impact while maintaining highest level of safety and regulatory compliance.
- Perform or support audit and investigation activities
- Plan and update schedules to optimize efficiency and minimize operational impact
- Interface with other work groups and auditees to handle various requests, actions or questions
- Lead or support various type of projects to improve efficiency and streamline QA activities
- Represent QA in meetings and working sessions
- Other activities as assigned
What’s needed to succeed (Minimum Qualifications):
- Bachelors Degree in relevant field or equivalent experience
- 5 years of aircraft maintenance experience, with a minimum of 2 years in quality role
- Strong background and knowledge of aircraft maintenance systems and UA policies and procedures
- Strong communication and analytical skills
- Strong knowledge of Microsoft Office tools
- Must be legally authorized to work in the United States for any employer without sponsorship
- Successful completion of interview required to meet job qualification
- Reliable, punctual attendance is an essential function of the position
What will help you propel from the pack (Preferred Qualifications):
- BS in relevant field or equivalent experience
- A&P License
- CASE qualification
- 7 years of aircraft maintenance experience, with minimum of 4 years in quality role
