Description

Responsibilities

  • Lead and oversee complex aircraft inspections.
  • Develop and implement inspection protocols.
  • Ensure accurate and detailed documentation of findings.
  • Address and resolve significant compliance issues.
  • Lead training and mentorship programs for junior inspectors.
  • Conduct periodic audits of maintenance processes.

Qualifications You Must Have

  • High school diploma or equivalent.
  • Typically 10 or more years of relevant experience.
  • Higher level relevant degree may substitute for experience.
  • No prior FAA violations.
  • Must have a valid driver's license and reliable transportation to and from work location.
  • Thorough knowledge of aircraft, aircraft systems, equipment, and components.
  • Advanced knowledge of aircraft, aircraft systems, equipment, and parts.
  • Understanding and experience with the practical application of product audit and inspection processes and procedures.
  • Basic Microsoft Office Suite skills (Word, Outlook, PowerPoint, Excel).
  • Typically, 7+ years in a 145 Repair Station environment.
  • Ability to understand and interpret complex technical schematics, diagrams, blueprints, manuals, and/or publications.

Qualifications We Prefer

  • Active, current Federal Aviation Administration (FAA) Airframe and Powerplant (A&P) certification.
  • Inspection Authorization (IA) Designation.
  • Ability to obtain a repairman Certification.
  • Basic understanding of 14 CFR Chapter 1.
  • Experience with Corridor ERP software.
  • Computerized maintenance tracking system experience (CAMP, Traxall, Cescom, etc.).
  • Heavy repair, modification, and inspection of both metallic and composite structures experience.
  • Background in the Aerospace and Defense Industry, the US Department of Defense, or US Military.

Essential Functions

  • Lift up to 50 lbs regularly and occasionally up to 75 lbs.
  • Stand, walk, and climb ladders or stairs frequently.
  • Work in diverse environmental conditions.
