Job Description:
Job Summary:
Perform work on assigned aircraft or parts in the avionic function, including:
- Fabrication, repair, and installation of aircraft parts.
- Maintenance and repair of helicopters.
- Support of helicopter specific programs.
- Assembly, installation, repair, or replacement of aircraft electrical/electronic components and systems.
- Conduct operational checks of complete systems to verify proper functioning of components and systems.
- Diagnose malfunctions or failures and make adjustments, repairs, or replacements of parts or components.
Primary Responsibilities:
Production Assembly: 70%
- Perform assembly, installation, repair, or replacement of aircraft electrical/electronic components and systems in the manufacturing of aircraft.
- Install electrical harness and sub-assemblies in aircraft through the following activities:
- Basic identification of wire and coax cable.
- Clamping, bundling, mounting, routing, stripping, splicing, soldering, and termination.
- Ensure installations do not endanger aircraft structure or systems operation.
- Work from blueprints, sketches, vendor and service manuals, and other source data to obtain specifications.
- Utilize standard and specialized hand tools, power equipment, measuring devices, and test equipment.
- Maintain close collaboration with assigned lead regarding schedules, priorities, material availability, and special instructions.
Production Testing: 20%
- Conduct operational checks of complete systems for proper functioning.
- Perform bonding checks of electrical installations.
Compliance: 10%
- Ensure completed work adheres to FAA regulations, customer requirements, and company specifications.
- Coordinate with various departments regarding materials, supplies, equipment, and job schedules.

Qualified Experience and Training:
Education:
Required:
- High School diploma or equivalent.
Preferred:
- Some aviation trade training.
Experience:
Required:
- Minimum of four (4) years of experience working on avionics in aircraft, preferably rotorcraft.
Preferred:
- Minimum of five (5) years in General Aviation or Military Aviation, preferably rotorcraft.
Licensure/Certifications:
Required:
- None.
Preferred:
- A current A&P License.
Travel Required:
- 5% Domestic and International.
Citizenship:
- US Person under ITAR definition (U.S. Citizen, green card holder, or person covered under our existing ITAR license).
Clearance:
- None.
Qualified Skills:
Knowledge, Skills, Demonstrated Capabilities:
Required:
- Basic computer skills.
- Ability to read and interpret blueprints, sketches, and diagrams.
- Familiarity with common aviation type tooling.
Preferred:
- None.
Communication Skills:
Required:
- Effective communication in verbal and written form in English.
Preferred:
- Proficient in French or German.
Technical Systems Proficiency:
Required:
- Computer proficiency.
Preferred:
- SAP proficiency.

- Capable of reading and interpreting wiring diagrams and applicable work instructions.
- Demonstrates proper use of appropriate hand tools to complete job tasks.

- Moderate communication daily with internal parties only.
Physical Requirements:
- Onsite or remote: 95%.
- Vision: Able to see computer screens and read documents, reports, and engineering drawings.
- Hearing: Able to participate in conversations and hear safety warnings or alarms.
- Speaking: Able to communicate in conversations and meetings.
- Equipment Operation: Able to operate office and production tools required for the job.
- Carrying: Able to carry documents and tools up to 30lbs/14kgs.
- Lifting: Able to lift items up to 30lbs/14kgs.
- Pushing/Pulling: Able to push and pull small furniture and tools.
- Sitting: Able to sit for extended periods during meetings or while working on the computer.
- Squatting/Kneeling: Able to retrieve or replace items from low shelving.
- Standing: Able to stand for discussions in various settings.
- Travel: Able to travel independently and at short notice.
- Walking: Able to navigate office and production areas, including uneven surfaces.
- Personal Protective Equipment: Required PPE includes, but is not limited to, safety shoes, glasses, hearing protection, masks, and gloves as required.
- Administrative position PPE: Steel-toed shoes required for shop floor visits.
