Description

Overview

The AC Tech (Line Maintenance) will perform preventive maintenance, repairs, modifications, and other line maintenance of aircraft, components, and related equipment in accordance with specified manuals, procedures, and FAA regulations. The role includes communicating with all departments within the company and supporting station coverage, training, and maintenance activities. The position requires working outdoors in various weather conditions and being on-call as needed.

Responsibilities

  • Perform preventive maintenance, repairs, and modifications of aircraft and related equipment.
  • Assist Airport Planning/Properties with property and environmental issues.
  • Maintain station manuals, parts, and tooling inventory.
  • Conduct aircraft deicing, snow removal, and GSE maintenance as needed.
  • Travel regionally to ensure stations pass FAA and QA audits.
  • Train new team members on paperwork, MXI, and manuals.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.

Requirements

  • Must have HSD/GED.
  • Valid driver’s license and ability to pass an MVR background check.
  • A&P License.
  • 2 years of experience in all phases of commercial transport aircraft.
  • Ability to independently troubleshoot aircraft systems.
  • Technical knowledge of aircraft systems focusing on the aircraft type at the station.
  • Ability to interpret wiring diagrams and evaluate structural damage.
  • Ability to work unsupervised.
  • Good interpersonal and communication skills (written and verbal).
  • Self-motivation, integrity, cooperation, professionalism, and leadership.
  • Ability to travel on company aircraft as required.
  • Ability to stoop, bend, and manipulate tools in small spaces.
  • Ability to work in adverse/outdoor conditions.
  • Ability to wear respirator/safety protective equipment as indicated.
  • Ability to lift objects weighing up to 75 lbs.
  • Ability to perform work at heights up to 60 ft.
  • Ability to obtain SIDA Badge (required for access to airports, aircraft, and air cargo).

Preferred Skills

  • 4 years of experience in all phases of commercial transport aircraft.
  • 2 years of hands-on line maintenance experience on type aircraft operated by ABX.
  • 757/767 experience.
